Three Simple Steps to Six Pack Abs

Do you want to have six pack abs? Who wouldn't? Having six pack abs is the epitome of fitness. Everyone wants to be able to show off a chiseled stomach, but most do not know how to actually achieve them. This article describes the three steps to well defined abs.

A Full Body Focus:

The first step to obtaining six pack abs is to focus on your entire body. Your exercise routine must be designed around strengthening your full body. You need to build muscle mass. If you just focus on your abdominal muscles, you will never achieve that a well defined stomach.

Muscle mass helps you to burn more calories. To achieve ab muscles definition you need to reduce your body fat. Most people mistaken strong abs for a washboard stomach. You can have very strong ab muscles, but still no definition. Your fat can cover your abdominal muscles. If this is the case no one will know that you have a six pack under there. By strengthening your full body, you will burn more calories. Your body will burn more calories even while you are resting, working or sleeping.

Low Calorie Diet:

The second step to obtaining chiseled abs is to dedicate yourself to a low calorie diet. As mentioned above, reducing body fat is the key to well defined abdominal muscles. The only way to reduce your fat is to take in or burn less calories then you eat. Dieting is the only way to achieve well defined abs. This will take serious dedication.

Strong Abs Workout:

The third step is a strong ab exercise routine. This is last step to achieve a six pack. Most people focus on their ab exercises, but forget about the first two steps. That is why I made this the third step. Without the first two steps, you will never get the well defined abs. You will have really strong abs, but no body will know it. I am not saying that this is bad. You will still have strong abs which are vital to a strong core. When you do your ab workout, don't forget your lower abs workout. Of all the abdominal exercises, lower ab workouts are the most often ignored. Your lower ab workout will be a key to achieving your six pack abs.
